Kind Words From My Riders
Nothing means more to me than seeing riders gain confidence, build stronger partnerships with their horses, and discover that riding can feel lighter, clearer, and more enjoyable.
While every horse-and-rider partnership is unique, the goal is always the same: to create lasting change through better understanding, communication, and feel. These stories reflect the heart of my Rider First approach—not just improved performance, but riders who leave with greater confidence, happier horses, and a deeper understanding of the "why" behind every ride.
I'm incredibly grateful to be part of each rider's journey, and I'm honored they've trusted me to help them along the way.

I’ve been riding for many years, but I started riding with Erin about a year ago and have learned SO MUCH. I have finally figured out how to address things I’ve struggled with for years! I’ve had many trainers tell me to open my shoulders and unlock my hips, but I was never successful in breaking my bad habits. Erin identified the root cause of my struggles immediately; my leg placement was keeping me from achieving the results I had been trying to obtain for so long. My horse is so much happier now that I’ve finally been able to change my body, and I feel so much more capable having this knowledge. Erin takes a “less is more” approach that has really brought peace to the riding relationship between my horse and me. One of the things that I really love about riding with Erin is that she will find new ways to explain something until we find a version that clicks for me. I always tell her I wish I’d found her years ago! Her lesson horses are safe and well taken care of as well, and they can accommodate many levels of rider capability. I am so happy to be able to learn from Erin and can not recommend her enough!

"EC Equestrian is the best of the best! Awesome trainer, great facility and quality care for the horses. I can't say enough good things about Erin and the way she handles her lessons. She is an awesome trainer and rider and the perfect match for my anxious daughter. If you're considering riding here, feel free to reach out to me any time with questions- I love talking about all the things horse-related!"

"Erin is an incredibly insightful instructor. Her lessons encompass all that is important to consider as a horse person. I've ridden with and worked for many trainers over the past 29 years, and I trust Erin's instruction because of her ethics. You'll learn more than just the "how", but also the "why" behind everything. She considers the horses's perspective entirely. Erin's truly the epitome of the good side of horse training and riding."

“...The detail you call to alignment borders on magical, and then for even me to see it flow through to the movement of the horse is really incredible."

"Erin is a fantastic trainer that I would recommend to anyone. She has a strong focus on using your whole body to communicate with your horse and identifying tension that is impacting your riding and carrying over to your horse. She takes the time to figure out what works best for you personally and always explains the why. Her communication style has always made me feel confident in asking even the "dumb" questions. If you are a new rider just starting, or someone who has been riding for years, you will learn something invaluable from her."

"During an extended trip I was fortunate that Erin was able to take on training rides for my OTTB, Bennett. I have always appreciated her focus on the horse's relaxation, confidence and balance as the key to unlocking their potential. In only a few rides, Erin was able to accomplish super improvements with him which I'm thrilled have carried over to my rides now as well. Thank you, Erin!"

Erin is a wonderful instructor! She has a great eye for rider position and puts a strong emphasis on flatwork. She has great intuition when it comes to horses, and she has given me countless tools to help both me and my mare not only improve, but also enjoy the process. Would highly recommend taking a lesson with her no matter what discipline you are currently practicing!
My moody mare, Merlot, was sent to "pony boot camp" with Erin last fall for 3 months, and I couldn't be more happy with the results! She was able to come up with a plan to refocus Merlot after she works herself up or gets distracted in the arena. She also focused on promoting propery muscle developement by encouraging relaxation and suppleness. I couldn't be more excited to tackle this show season and continue to progress!"

"As an adult amateur that has been out of riding for a while its typically daunting to start lessons up again. Erin has been a true pleasure to work with. Im riding an ottb that has been off for about 10 years or so, and before that had some inconsistencies with his training and became sensitive in the ring. In 3 lessons we have become a united pair. the first time I rode this horse we didn't know what a walk or a trot was and got stuck in this jig that is never fun for anyone. The horse has completely changed in just a few lessons. He meets me at the gate, calms down so fast in the arena, every time I leave a lesson I think I am on a different horse.
I cant say enough positive things about Erin. She doesnt put bandaids on to get you further, she takes you back to where you need to be and before you know it you're further then you ever planned to be. Im so excited to see where We will be in 6 months after steady lessons."
