Erin's (Brief) Story
Horses have been a part of Erin’s life since she could walk. She is a second generation riding instructor, spending the first years of her life around horses in a playpen in the aisle. She started riding about 5 years old, and rode in her first show at 7. She started breaking and training horses in 2004, and teaching/training professionally in 2009. Erin started in the Equitation ring, but it didn’t take long before she found Eventing. She brought her first fiery, 14.2H jumper pony, Ingrid, up through training level and competed at AEC’s at 16 years old. She joined Pony Club and quickly fell in love with how they emphasized being a whole horsewoman, not just a rider. Within 3 years, she rated up the levels and graduated as a ‘B’ in Eventing, and ‘C3’ in Dressage before heading off to college. Erin took her OTTB with her to college and continued competing in Eventing and Jumpers. She's continued her education in clinics with Hawley Bennett-Awad, Richard Lamb, Kim Severson, Danny Warrington, and Becky Holder.

Erin has been teaching & training part time for the past 19+ years, but she finally hung up her corporate hat in 2021 to take on the horse world full time. She now offers teaching and training in the Central Texas area, specializing in Eventing and Show Jumping. She loves to stay involved and support the local Pony Clubs chapters with meetings, ratings, coaching and camps. She's passionate about helping riders develop confident partnerships with their horse and understanding the why behind what they're doing, not just the how. She wants every student to gain the knowledge and experience to be a well-rounded, confident, and successful horseman/woman.

Erin has a unique gift with the sensitive horses, and those often labeled "forward", "spicy" or "a bit fiery". She helps the horse consciously choose relaxation (making them more rideable), and at the same time, gives the rider tools to create this themselves. The rider gains tools to help the horse become happier, healthier, and a truly trusting partner.
